Electrical Foreman

We are seeking a full-time licensed Electrician (309A) to join our Construction Team in a Foreman role. The ideal candidate is a reliable, skilled professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, leadership skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.

Job requirements include (but are not limited to):

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of electrical crews on construction sites to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and meets quality standards. 

  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily tasks, ensuring crew members follow project plans, specifications, and safety procedures. 

  • Perform inspections and quality checks on electrical installations, troubleshooting complex issues and providing guidance to team members. 

  • Ensure all work complies with the ESA, company policies, and relevant safety regulations. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, safety records, and project progress updates. 

  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and crew members to coordinate work, resolve issues, and provide technical guidance. 

  • Mentor and train electricians, apprentices, and helpers to develop skills and maintain high standards of workmanship. 

  • Identify potential safety hazards or operational challenges on-site and implement corrective actions to maintain productivity and safety compliance. 

Service Technician

We are currently seeking a full-time licensed Journeyperson Electrician (309A) to join our Service Team. The ideal candidate is a reliable, organized, skilled professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, the ability to work independently and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.

Job requirements include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform service calls to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and associated equipment in commercial and industrial settings.

  • Complete installation of electrical components and systems according to diagrams, blueprints, and customer specifications.

  • Accurately document service performed, time and materials used, and any recommendations for further work in work orders or service management systems.

  • Communicate with customers and internal teams throughout the job to explain issues and solutions.

  • Maintain stocked service vehicle with required tools, parts, and safety equipment.

  • Follow all safety protocols and electrical code requirements at all times.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests as needed.

  • Identify opportunities to offer additional services or upgrades to customers when appropriate.

  • Assist in preventive maintenance programs and inspections to ensure system reliability.

Journeyperson

We are currently seeking a full-time licensed Journeyperson Electrician (309A) to join our growing Construction team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in commercial, retail and industrial electrical work and a strong working knowledge of electrical codes and safety best practices.

Job requirements include (but are not limited to):

  • Install electrical systems and components on commercial and industrial construction sites in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and project schedules. 

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layouts to complete rough-in and finish work accurately and efficiently. 

  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with ESA requirements, the Ontario Electrical Code, and site-specific safety policies. 

  • Coordinate work with foreman to meet construction schedules and key milestones. 

  • Conduct quality checks on installations to ensure workmanship meets code, safety, and company standards. 

  • Support and mentor apprentices on site by providing guidance, oversight, and promoting safe work practices. 

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with site requirements. 

  • Proactively identify and communicate potential issues or conflicts in drawings or site conditions before they impact timelines or quality. 

  • Maintain up-to-date certifications in Health & Safety, including WHMIS, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platforms, Worker Health & Safety Awareness and ESA Code updates. LOTO, Arc Flash, and First Aid are assets. 

Health & Safety Coordinatoor

We are currently seeking a full-time Health & Safety Coordinator to join our growing team in Rockwood. The ideal candidate is familiar with the construction industry and can act as a resource and advocate for workplace safety, supporting employees and leadership in maintaining a strong safety culture. We encourage those with a desire to grow their career to apply!

Job requirements include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop, implement, and maintain existing and new health and safety programs, policies, practices, and standards in alignment with business needs and evolving industry requirements.

  • Work directly with forepersons to collect, review, and maintain safety reports and inspection records.

  • Conduct regular job site inspections with the ability to identify, anticipate, and address potential hazards and safety concerns in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and company standards.

  • Understand and ensure compliance with the health and safety requirements of Arthur Electric clients.

  • Ensure all employee training is current and that mandatory training requirements are met in accordance with industry standards and union agreements, including but not limited to WHMIS, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platforms, and First Aid.

  • Attend and contribute to Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings and contribute to other company meetings from a health and safety perspective.

  • Update and maintain company health and safety documentation as required, including but not limited to the master Health and Safety Policy, individual policies for the employee handbook, and health and safety boards distributed to job sites.

  • Workplace Injuries and Investigations: - Assist in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause and corrective actions if necessary. - Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately. - Ensure the completion and timely submission of incident reports and documents to Head Office.

  • Maintain accurate safety records, including inspection logs, JHSC meeting minutes and monthly reports.

  • Attend industry meetings, conferences, and webinars to stay current on health and safety developments in construction and the electrical industry.

  • Develop and contribute a health and safety section to the company newsletter to promote awareness and keep employees informed.

  • Promote a positive safety culture and act as a safety resource for employees and leadership.

  • Administrative duties as required.

  • Monitor and manage use of safety equipment and supplies.

Senior Project Manager

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager to join our growing team in Rockwood. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage electrical projects from pre-construction through completion. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of electrical work, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with all relevant codes.

Job requirements include (but are not limited to):

  • Effectively manage multiple, complex, and high-risk projects.

  • Plan construction projects, prepare schedules, and work collaboratively with the Project Team to ensure successful completion.

  • Process and manage contract drawings, specifications, and changes, ensuring alignment with estimates and compliance with contract documents. This includes obtaining and reviewing subcontractor pricing and presenting accurate, itemized changes to the General Contractor.

  • Communicate professionally with Owners, General Contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, representing the company’s best interests and building positive working relationships to support repeat business.

  • Coordinate, manage, and resolve issues with subcontractors related to labor, materials, scheduling, delivery, and payment disputes.

  • Prepare accurate and timely billings, ensure full contract payment (including changes and credits), and maintain a positive project cash flow.

  • Monitor and analyze project costs, labor, materials, unit costs, and cost reports to forecast job status, schedule adherence, and overall financial performance.

  • Conduct and attend project meetings as required (bi-weekly or monthly) and prepare accurate Project Manager Reports for submission to the Director of Construction.

  • Provide oversight and direction to project foremen, working collaboratively to understand site conditions, progress, and any issues impacting schedule, cost, or quality.

  • Act as a mentor to less senior project management staff, sharing knowledge and best practices to support professional growth.

  • Ability to conduct site walks with foremen and site teams to identify strengths, issues, and potential risks impacting safety, schedule, cost, or quality.

  • Maintain working knowledge of trade unions, agreements, and stipulations, and support staff development by identifying promotable employees and monitoring position vacancies.

  • Provide strategic oversight across multiple projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals, labor forecasting and resource allocation.

  • Establish and refine project management standards, processes and best practice to improve overall team performance.
